Donner le coup d'envoi après 2008, avec 8 Ballet Hollywood ® spectacles au "Théâtre Inconnue" à Hollywood, Rick chorégraphié Compassion Rising, effectué le dimanche de Pâques à la Hollywood Bowl. Ensuite, une danse chorégraphiée par Rick pour un ancien danseuse de New York City Ballet en vedette dans DanceSpot, Los Angeles vitrine premiere pour les nouvelles oeuvres de danse. Le premier week-end d'avril, plusieurs de ses danses ont été présentées dans Tujunga Cabaret-Studio City Dances! à deux routes au Studio Théâtre de la Ville. Plus tard en avril, Rick a rejoint le groupe du juge à Sacramento pour Headliners Dance Competition. En suite, son duo Respirer, mis à la musique de Sieur de Sainte-Colombe (Les Pleurs), a été réalisée Mai 10 au 11 au Studio One dans l'ouest de Los Angeles.
En été 2008, Rick a commencé à travailler avec la nouvelle tournée adolescent compagnie de danse contemporaine qui s'appelle Southern California Dance Company (SCDC) (www.southerncaliforniadancecompany.com), et la création de nouvelles sections révisées de RQ 21 (la musique = Mozart Requiem), pour certains de Californie du Sud meilleurs jeunes danseurs. SCDC a effectué dans le Hermosa Beach Playhouse, à la célèbre dans le monde entier Hollywood and Highland Center à Hollywood, et à Hesperia et Silver Lake (Los Angeles ).
Rick est de la chorégraphie de 2009 édition de LA Unbound, avec des performances en avril 2009 à Los Angeles, et a été invité à devenir directeur artistique pour la troisième année Soirée de la chorégraphie, Prévu pour l'été 2009 à Los Angeles. After kicking off 2008 with 8 Hollywood Ballet® performances at Unknown Theater in Hollywood, Rick choreographed Compassion Rising, performed Easter Sunday at the Hollywood Bowl. Then, a dance choreographed by Rick for a former New York City Ballet dancer was featured in DanceSpot, LA's premier showcase for new concert dance works. The first weekend of April, several of his dances were featured in Tujunga Cabaret- Studio City Dances! at Two Roads Theater in Studio City. Later in April, Rick joined the judge's panel in Sacramento for Headliners Dance Competition. His duet, Respirer, set to Sieur de Sainte-Colombe's Tears, was performed May 10th-11th at Studio One in West Los Angeles.
In Summer 2008, Rick commenced work with the new touring teen contemporary dance company Southern California Dance Company (www.southerncaliforniadancecompany.com), , creating new and revised sections of RQ 21, set to Mozart's Requiem, for some of Southern California's finest young dancers. Rick is choreographing for the 2009 edition of LA Unbound, with performances in April 2009 in Los Angeles, and has been invited to become Artistic Director for the third annual Evening of Choreography showcase, projected for Summer 2009 in Los Angeles. He is commencing new contemporary dance works for Hollywood Ballet®, to be performed in Hollywood and beyond in 2009.
